Indigo dyed mementos and wearables have been created from silk chiffon and cotton voile, with 'shibori' style patterns and markings - each one unique.
The natural indigo dye vat has been brewed from indigofera tinctoria harvested locally in Darwin and supplemented by indigo crystals.
Silk and linen 'sashiko' stitching has also been applied to the edges of some cotton scarves, in the traditional patterns of Japanese 'boro'.
